Manila: The Iloilo City Police Station 4 (ICPS4) has seized PHP4.76 million worth of shabu and arrested a high-value individual during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Calumpang, Molo district on Monday afternoon. Police identified the suspect as alias 'Parcon,' 42, jobless and resident of Barangay Calumpang, who yielded approximately 700 grams of suspected shabu contained in 11 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and two knot-tied transparent plastic containers.
According to Philippines News Agency, ICPS4 chief Capt. Ryan Christ Inot mentioned that Parcon served as the warehouseman for siblings who were apprehended in a prior anti-drug operation on June 21 in Barangay Buray, Oton, where close to PHP14 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated. The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit collaborated with ICPS4 following the arrest of alias 'Choco.'
Information from the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) indicated that the suspect was allegedly involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in Iloilo City and nearby municipalities. Brig. Gen. Randulf Tua±o, PRO-6 Acting Regional Director, emphasized in a statement the importance of removing every kilogram of shabu from the streets as it results in protecting lives, preventing crimes, and making communities safer. He reiterated that PRO-6 is committed to relentlessly pursuing drug traffickers and dismantling networks that threaten public safety.
