Northern mindanao: The Department of Health in Northern Mindanao has called on the public to prioritize health and safety during the upcoming holiday season. The initiative aims to ensure that the festive period is celebrated responsibly and safely.
According to Philippines News Agency, DOH-10 has launched the "Ligtas Christmas Campaign" in collaboration with regional health facilities. Lawyer Terence John Roa from the agency's Management Support Division highlighted the campaign's focus on promoting safe practices during the holidays. The initiative is designed to encourage the community to adopt healthier lifestyles and prevent accidents during celebrations.
Dr. Steffi Grace Enon, who leads the Local Health Support Division, emphasized the importance of the campaign in advocating for healthier food consumption, regular exercise, discipline, and the avoidance of firecrackers. Enon noted that these are essential reminders, stating, "Good health and safety are the greatest gifts we can give our families and communities."
Furthermore, the agency reiterated its commitment to the objectives of Universal Health Care. It is also dedicated to updating its five-year action plan for health security, a decision that follows a recent national planning workshop focused on enhancing health measures and safety protocols.
