Dilao Twins Advance to Quarterfinals in MAC’s Crank It Tennis Tournament

Paranaque city: Dilao twins Frank Nhiele and France Vhiele secured victories on Sunday, advancing to the boys' U18 quarterfinals at the MAC's Crank It junior tennis tournament held at the Olivarez Sports Center.

According to Philippines News Agency, top-seeded Frank Nhiele dominated his match against Jaren Joachim Quintana, winning 6-0, 6-0, and will next face No. 8 seed Jaime Reyes, who overcame Nathan Ezekiel Andal with a score of 4-6, 6-1, 10-2. Meanwhile, second-seeded France Vhiele endured a challenging match against Elijah Okano, ultimately winning 6-1, 4-6, 10-8. France's next opponent in the quarterfinals will be Miguel Ricardo Lagac III, who managed to eliminate No. 5 seed Rafa Monte De Ramos in a 6-2, 2-6, 12-10 match.

Fourth seed Julio Y±igo Naredo also progressed by defeating Shinglee Cai with a 6-0, 6-0 scoreline, and will now play against No. 7 seed Fitzmichael Karl, who triumphed over Luri Cua 6-4, 6-3.

In other matches, Monte De Ramos rebounded in the U16 category as the No. 2 seed. He beat Rafaello Munozco 6-3, 3-6, 13-11 to reach the quarterfinals of this Group 2 event, which is sanctioned by the Philippine Tennis Association. Additional victors in the boys' division included fourth seed Naredo against Tristan Araneta (6-1, 6-2), fifth seed Anthony Castigador versus Andal (6-0, 6-2), and Jan Caleb Villeno over John Enzo Fernand Masaga (6-4, 6-3).

In the girls' division, second seed Cadee Jan Dagoon advanced to the U16 quarterfinals after defeating Kate Louise Violet Dee 4-6, 6-3, 13-11. She joins No. 3 seed Maria Astrid Cablitas, No. 4 seed Catrice Natasha Gabriel, No. 5 seed Leanne Amanda Barrido, No. 6 seed Talitha Lopez, No. 7 seed Jasmine Xyril Solis, Julienne Kylie Cautivo, and Ella Mhae Paglalunan in the next round.
