Davao city: To celebrate National ICT Month and its 10th anniversary, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) 11 in the Davao Region is set to hold a job fair on June 9, offering over 742 employment opportunities for local job seekers. The event, themed 'Isang Dekadang Digital: Konektado sa Puso at Serbisyo!' (A Decade of Digital: Connected in Heart and Service), will take place at SM City Davao mall from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to Philippines News Agency, DICT-11 announced that the fair aims to cater to a diverse group of applicants, including recent graduates, experienced professionals, career changers, and aspiring digital workers pursuing tech-driven roles. While the initiative is spearheaded by DICT, the job openings extend across various industries, offering a broad spectrum of opportunities beyond traditional ICT positions.

The agency highlighted that on-the-spot applications would be accepted, allowing job seekers to meet directly with hiring employers. "Government services and career opportunities will be made available in one venue across various industries," stated DICT-11.

Applicants are encouraged to bring essential documents with them. "Prepare your updated r©sum©, dress professionally, and seize the opportunity to connect with your future employer," the agency advised. Additionally, DICT-11 suggested that job seekers review the list of available vacancies posted on its official social media channels ahead of the event to better target specific roles.
