DFA Suspends Passport Ops as Lent Begins

Manila: The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has suspended consular services in all its offices by noontime Wednesday as the Lenten season begins, with resumption of operations set on April 6.

According to Philippines News Agency, the agency assured affected applicants that they will be accommodated within 30 days from their original appointment date.

The suspension is pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 116 issued by the Office of the President in preparation for the observance of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
