San Jose:The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), along with the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), has successfully served over 1,000 clients in the Caraga region through its 'Express Permitting on Wheels' initiative from July to September.

According to Philippines News Agency, land titles were officially released to 419 clients in San Jose, Dinagat Islands. These included 17 residential titles, 396 agricultural titles, and six special patents for school sites.

The program, which aims to provide faster and more accessible government services, was also introduced in Butuan City and Tandag City in Surigao del Sur during July and August. In Butuan City, 245 clients were assisted with permits and certificates, including chainsaw registrations, transport documents, and land status certifications. Clients also received assistance with patent applications, land classification inquiries, and legal consultations.

In addition, MGB-13 provided geohazard consultations and Minahang Bayan consultations to 117 clients in Butuan City, while EMB-13 issued 95 environmental permits and clearances to 89 clients. In Tandag City, DENR-13 served 159 clients, with EMB-13 assisting 91 clients and MGB-13 serving 17 clients with certifications and permits.

The initiative also included seedling distribution, with 276 seedlings handed out in Dinagat Islands, 5,438 in Tandag City, and 2,200 in Butuan City. DENR Regional Executive Director Ma. Theresa Allen emphasized the program's role in enhancing public service and protecting natural resources, as plans are underway to expand the activity to other provinces in the region within September.
