Caraga: The Department of Agriculture (DA) 13 (Caraga) announced on Wednesday that it has begun accepting applications for the Summer Youth Internship Program. The internship will run from April 24 to June 30 and will be open to 20 youths in the region who are eager to familiarize themselves with government agriculture services.
According to Philippines News Agency, the program is designed to introduce youth to public service, involve them in new government programs and projects, and encourage their understanding and support. Of the 20 allocations, five will be reserved for differently abled individuals interested in learning about government services.
Qualified youth applicants to the program include those who have completed high school, those currently in college, and out-of-school youth who have not attended school for the past two years. Differently abled applicants must be able to perform office tasks, such as typing, encoding, sorting, and photocopying.
All applicants must be aged 18 to 25, in good health condition, and not related by consanguinity or affinity to any DA-13 official or employee. Accepted participants will be assigned to selected offices and units based on the qualifications of the interns.
