Customs Generates P99.50 Million from Public Auctions in 2026

Manila: The government through the Bureau of Customs (BOC) has so far generated close to PHP100 million from the auction sale of seized items, including luxury vehicles, this year. In a news release Wednesday, the bureau reported that it has collected a total of PHP99.508 million from public auctions.

According to Philippines News Agency, on Tuesday, one vehicle was sold for more than PHP25 million to bidder Pureblends Corporation. The lone bidder offered a bid of PHP25,543,000 for the Rolls Royce Phantom 2023 with a floor price of PHP25,542,999.45.

The BOC emphasized that the activity was conducted in accordance with established rules and procedures, ensuring an open, fair, and competitive process in the disposal of seized and forfeited goods. Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno noted that public auctions ensure forfeited goods are disposed of in a manner that is both transparent and beneficial to the public.

The BOC also encouraged the public to participate in future auctions and to regularly check the agency's official website and communication platforms for announcements and schedules.
