Cordillera Cops Apprehend 1,744 Wanted Persons in 2025

Baguio city: The Police Regional Office (PRO) - Cordillera announced that its intensified anti-criminality campaign led to the arrest of 1,744 wanted individuals in 2025.

According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-Cordillera Director Brig. Gen. Erickson Dilag revealed that the arrests include 354 most wanted persons, categorized as 64 at the regional level, 155 at the provincial level, and 135 at the municipal level.

The Baguio City Police Department recorded the highest number of arrests with 627 individuals apprehended. This was followed by Benguet Police with 480 arrests; both Abra Police and Kalinga Police with 155 arrests each; Ifugao Police with 121; Apayao Police with 102; and Mountain Province Police with 97. Additionally, the Regional Headquarters recorded 7 arrests.

Brig. Gen. Dilag attributed the success of the operations not only to the dedication and relentless efforts of PRO-Cordillera personnel but also to the strong support and cooperation from communities, barangay officials, and local stakeholders. He emphasized the importance of public vigilance, urging citizens to report suspicious activities and to continue strengthening partnerships with law enforcement authorities.

He further noted that timely information-sharing and active collaboration were crucial in the tracking and arrest of wanted individuals, underscoring the importance of community involvement in maintaining peace and order in the region.
