Cops Seize PHP2-M Shabu in Paracale Drug Bust

Paracale: A high-value suspect was arrested and 300 grams of shabu worth PHP2.04 million were confiscated in an anti-illegal drug operation in Paracale, Camarines Norte, the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) reported on Sunday.

According to Philippines News Agency, the operation, which took place on Friday night, led to the arrest of a 40-year-old resident of Baao, identified only as "Allan." Police recovered six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu from the suspect. The suspect and the confiscated evidence are currently under the custody of the Paracale Municipal Police Station for proper documentation, disposition, and the filing of appropriate charges.

The operation was executed by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 5, Paracale MPS, Police Intelligence Unit, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the provincial National Bureau of Investigation. PRO-5 emphasized its ongoing efforts to enhance coordination among police units and partner law-enforcement agencies. The agency is focused on improving intelligence gathering and operational capabilities to target individuals involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs.

The police also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any illegal drug activities to the authorities to aid in their efforts to combat drug-related crimes.
