Comelec Main Office Holds 3-Day Special Registration for Upcoming Elections

Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced a three-day Special Register Anywhere/Anytime Program (SRAP) at its main office in Intramuros, commencing on April 7. This initiative comes as part of the preparations for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Comelec is inviting individuals who wish to register as voters to visit SRAP booths located at the Chairman's Hall of the Palacio del Gobernador. The special registration will also be available on April 22 and April 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The registration process is not limited to new voters. The Comelec will also accept applications for transfer, change of status or correction of entries, and reactivation. To ensure a smooth registration process, the Comelec has emphasized that applicants must present a valid government-issued ID. They have clarified that a cedula, barangay ID or certificate, company ID, and police clearance will not be accepted.
