Comelec Announces Completion of Over Half of Ballots for 2026 Barangay and SK Elections

Quezon city: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced that it has successfully printed more than half of the 90 million official ballots required for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) scheduled on November 2, 2026. Comelec Chairperson George Garcia revealed the progress during an interview, stating that since October 17, approximately 50 million ballots have been printed.

According to Philippines News Agency, the printing process is being carried out at the National Printing Office in Quezon City and includes not only official ballots but also accountable forms. The Comelec is on track to complete the printing by next week, with 69 million ballots designated for the barangay elections and 23 million for the Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

Additionally, Comelec plans to commence printing ballots for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections by February 2026. Originally scheduled for October 13, the BARMM election was postponed by the Supreme Court and must now be held no later than March 31, 2026.
