Cagayan de oro: The local government on Tuesday confiscated almost 300 kilograms of foul-smelling chicken meat that were about to be sold in public markets. Led by the City Veterinary Office (CVO), personnel intercepted the spoiled dressed chicken after receiving complaints from consumers.
According to Philippines News Agency, CVO chief Dr. Helen Ann Tacandong stated that the meat was separated and properly disposed of by burying it in an undisclosed area. She also urged consumers to be vigilant when purchasing poultry products, advising them to always look for the meat inspection certificate to ensure that the meat has passed the necessary standards.
