SHAH ALAM, The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) has entered into a cooperation agreement with MEDKAD Sdn Bhd to leverage a digital initiative that enhances medical assistance and streamlines the zakat application process. KUANTAN, The Pahang branch of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) thwarted an attempt to distribute smuggled cigarettes when it seized 1.2 million sticks of cigarettes of various types and brands worth RM942,480, including duties and taxes, last month. GEORGE TOWN, A total of 527 types of sex stimulants containing scheduled poisons and unregistered products as well as 11 digital devices, all worth about RM4.4 million, were seized under Ops Legacy 2.0 in Penang, Kedah and Johor on July 30.
