KUALA LUMPUR, Police have smashed a counterfeit money production syndicate with the arrest of three Cameroonian men, believed to be the masterminds behind the operation. Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said the suspects, aged between 36 and 49, were apprehended in two separate raids here on Aug 15. KUALA LUMPUR, Two members of the search and rescue (SAR) team re-entered the pump station at the Indah Water Konsortium sewage plant in Pantai Dalam, here this morning, to search for the victim of the Jalan Masjid India sinkhole incident. They were equipped with masks, oxygen tanks, and safety helmets, and entered the pump station at 10.30 am and emerged 20 minutes later. JOHOR BAHRU, The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) diver who died while carrying out a salvage operation to recover the wreck of the KD Pendekar, in the waters off Kota Tinggi, has been identified as Leading Seaman I Arman San Hermansa. PUTRAJAYA, The National Water Services Commission (SPAN) has introduced the SPAN Water Transformation Fund (DTAS) to support small-scale water supply projects starting August 31. In a statement today, SPAN informed that DTAS provides alternative financing for projects costing up to RM50,000, with a focus on rural areas. It covers both the construction of new infrastructure and the renovation of existing facilities. Eligible applicants include Malaysian citizens representing non-governmental organisations (NGOs), places of worship, educational institutions, registered charities, or Resident Committees.
