Camarines norte: The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) announced Wednesday that a suspect in the murder of a woman, whose body was found in a storage box thrown from a bridge in Barangay Pinagwarasan, Basud, Camarines Norte, has surrendered to authorities.
According to Philippines News Agency, the suspect, known as 'Nel,' aged 35, turned himself in to the Camarines Norte Provincial Intelligence Unit in Barangay Poblacion B., Rosario, Batangas. This development was confirmed by PRO-5 acting Regional Director Brig. Gen. Erosito Miranda in an official statement.
Post-surrender, the suspect was transferred to the Cabuyao Component City Police Station in Laguna for further investigation and legal proceedings. Brig. Gen. Miranda lauded the coordinated efforts of police units from PRO-5 and PRO-4A, crediting their collaboration for the quick identification and apprehension of the suspect.
