Boracay: Boracay's renowned White Beach has secured a place on TripAdvisor's 2026 Best of the Best Beaches list, a milestone that underscores the Philippines' reputation as a premier tropical destination.

According to Philippines News Agency, the list is topped by Banana Beach in Phuket, Thailand, followed by Kelingking in Indonesia, Radhanagar in Havelock Island, India, and Palolem in Canacona, India. TripAdvisor highlighted that the list recognizes the highest level of excellence in travel, awarding those destinations that garner a significant volume of positive reviews and opinions from its users over a year-long period. Out of the platform's eight million listings, less than one percent achieve this accolade.

The global travel platform described Boracay's White Beach as a destination that attracts visitors with its soft white sand, turquoise waters, and mesmerizing sunsets. It is a popular spot for swimming and snorkeling, with numerous local dining and drinking establishments conveniently located nearby.

White Beach is sectioned into Stations 1, 2, and 3, each catering to different market segments, ranging from luxury and leisure travelers to families and backpackers. The beach remains central to Boracay's tourism-driven economy, drawing visitors for swimming, snorkeling, island-hopping, and other water-based activities.

Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco expressed her appreciation for the recognition, emphasizing its profound impact on the livelihoods supported by the tourism sector. She noted that beyond the accolade, the real significance lies in the lives sustained by tourism, highlighting the thousands of Filipino workers, including boatmen, hotel staff, tour guides, transport operators, and micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs, who depend on a vibrant and sustainable tourism industry.
