BOC Achieves P1.2-B Surplus in March Revenue Collection

Manila: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has surpassed its March revenue collection target by 1.4 percent, amounting to an excess of PHP1.190 billion. The bureau reported a total revenue collection of PHP84.426 billion last month, reflecting a growth of PHP4.067 billion or 5.1 percent compared to the PHP80.359 billion collected in March 2025.

According to Philippines News Agency, Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno praised all collection districts and ports nationwide for their crucial role in meeting the bureau's March targets. He highlighted the commitment of frontline personnel in maintaining the smooth flow of trade while safeguarding government revenues. In his statement on Wednesday, Nepomuceno expressed appreciation for the hard work, discipline, and commitment to honest service demonstrated by District Collectors, port personnel, and all BOC employees across the country.

The Bureau chief stressed that the BOC's strong performance directly translates into enhanced public services, funding for infrastructure, and support for social programs benefiting millions of Filipinos. He noted that the March revenue will aid in supporting essential government programs and services for the Filipino populace.

Aligned with the directives of Finance Secretary Frederick Go, the BOC continues to implement reforms focused on digitalization, transparency, and ease of doing business. Go has emphasized the importance of efficient revenue collection and institutional integrity to sustain economic growth and ensure that government resources are utilized effectively for public benefit.
