Manila: The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has confirmed the enforcement of a Hold Departure Order (HDO) put forth by the Sandiganbayan against former Speaker Martin Romualdez, Felicito Cristobal Guevarra, former Representative Elizaldy 'Zaldy' Co, and Joselyn Serenio.

According to Philippines News Agency, the BI stated that both Romualdez and Guevarra are still in the Philippines, while Co and Serenio had already left the country before the HDO was issued. The bureau emphasized its commitment to strictly implementing the HDO and taking necessary immigration actions as per its authority.

The BI clarified that it is unable to reveal specific travel details or other personal information about the individuals, adhering to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and other relevant legislation. The Sandiganbayan issued the HDO on September 7, 2026.
