Taguig city: Students and residents of Taguig City will benefit from the 1,110-square meter land that the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has allowed to be used for education and facilities for communities.
According to Philippines News Agency, BCDA signed a memorandum of agreement with Taguig City officials on Dec. 18, 2025, for the use of the land in Pamayanang Diego Silang. This land was originally intended as a sports complex and is currently under the supervision of the Senator Renato 'Compa±ero' Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School.
BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Bingcang stated, "BCDA has consistently supported quality education, including initiatives like the National Academy of Sports in New Clark City." He emphasized that the partnership with Taguig City allows the BCDA to extend its commitment by helping create accessible and inclusive learning spaces for the community.
Taguig City Mayor Laarni Cayetano expressed that the agreement 'advances our shared goal of making education a cornerstone of community development and ensuring that public spaces serve the people who need them most.'
BCDA highlighted that the project increased its portfolio of education-supportive developments implemented in coordination with local governments.
