Aganan Flyover in Iloilo Set for Completion Before Christmas 2026, Says Dizon

Iloilo: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has assured that the stalled and sinking Aganan Flyover in Iloilo will be finished before the end of the year. DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon stated that construction of the structure is a priority and would be expedited.

According to Philippines News Agency, DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon mentioned during an inspection of the flyover that both he and the President are committed to ensuring the Aganan Flyover's completion by Christmas of 2026. This assurance comes as part of a directive from the President to expedite infrastructure projects across the country, particularly those that have been delayed, such as the Aganan Flyover.

Dizon emphasized the need for timely completion of the project, highlighting that the construction of the flyover began in 2020 and was initially expected to be completed within two years. To address the issues that have caused delays, Dizon has also ordered the involvement of foreign consultants for a third-party assessment of the current state of the structure.
