Mandaluyong city: Five brands from Negros Occidental are showcasing their products at the 2026 Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair (NFF) at SM Megamall, Megatrade Halls in Mandaluyong City from April 8 to 12.
According to Philippines News Agency, the exhibitors include AlterTrade Philippines Inc. (Booth 227), known for producing muscovado sugar in various forms, including syrup, rocks, and powdered. CM and Sons Food Product Corp. (Booth 23) is also present, offering Merzci sweet treats and baked favorites. Other exhibitors are Pueblo Bakeshop (Booth 25), renowned for the iconic Quan delicacies, and Margie's Cakes and Pastries (Booth 54), which provides pasalubong products and savory bites. In addition, Victorias Foods Corp. (Booth 268) showcases flavorful, high-quality processed meats and local specialties.
These five food brands represent the flavors of the province, where culinary heritage meets creativity and craftsmanship. DTI-Negros Occidental Provincial Director Lynna Joy Cardinal highlighted that the exhibitors bring not just world-class flavors to the NFF but also their resilience, creativity, and hard work. She encouraged buyers to explore the "sweet surprises" the province offers, ranging from traditional delicacies to innovative food products.
The Negrense brands are part of more than 320 Filipino micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao participating in the event, showcasing the best of local food ranging from regional delicacies to innovative, homegrown products. The 2026 DTI-NFF also features businesses led by overseas Filipino workers, coconut-based products under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan, and a dedicated halal section. The NFF serves as a premier platform for Filipino food products and a strategic venue for enterprise development and market expansion.
