Bacolod: The 30th Panaad sa Negros, known as the festival of all festivals in Negros Occidental, achieved significant milestones with PHP29.42 million in sales and an attendance record of 45,000 people on its final day at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
According to Philippines News Agency, the provincial government released figures showing a 47 percent increase in sales compared to the PHP16.6 million total sales recorded in 2025. The festival's sales numbers were broken down as follows: PHP3.38 million on April 13, PHP2.07 million on April 14, PHP4.36 million on April 15, PHP3.7 million on April 16, PHP4.54 million on April 17, PHP5.64 million on April 18, and PHP5.69 million on April 19.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson expressed pride in the resilience and creativity of the Negrense people despite economic challenges. The annual festival features participation from all 32 cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental, each presenting themed pavilions showcasing their delicacies, tourist attractions, culture, and heritage.
The festival also drew significant online engagement, with millions watching livestreams of the weeklong events. The Lin-ay sang Negros pageant, held on April 17, was particularly popular, attracting 1.3 million views on Facebook.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II remarked on the immeasurable value of the festival, noting the benefits it brought to the people of Negros Occidental. Festival director Charina Magallanes-Tan expressed gratitude to all involved for their roles in celebrating the essence of being Negrenses, acknowledging the extensive planning and teamwork that went into the event.
