PAF Unveils Advanced Chopper Flight Simulator in Lapu-Lapu City
Manila: The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has officially inaugurated its pioneering two-in-one full-motion flight simulator (FMFS) and accompanying training facility in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. This cutting-edge simulator is designed to train PAF’s helicopter pilots, featuring interchangeable cockpits for S-70i Black Hawk and Bell 412EP helicopters. According to Philippines News Agency, the FMFS provides pilots with an immersive and realistic training experience, allowing them to practice complex maneuvers and emergency procedures safely. This reduces the necessity for actual aircraft use. PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Christina Basco highlighted that the simulator aims to boost pilot proficiency, lower operational risks, and optimize training
