Manila: Tropical Depression Wilma has slightly accelerated and is forecasted to make landfall over Eastern Visayas on Saturday, as reported by the weather bureau. According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated that as of 5 a.m., the center of Wilma was positioned 70 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. The tropical depression is carrying maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center, with gustiness reaching up to 55 kilometers per hour, and is moving westward at 15 kilometers per hour.
