Bacolod city: The Negros Occidental Provincial Health Office (PHO) is urging the public to seek immediate medical attention if they are experiencing symptoms of leptospirosis, as case admissions increased at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) here. According to Philippines News Agency, the surge in leptospirosis admissions was reported after the devastating flash floods in several cities and municipalities in central and southern Negros during Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) on Nov. 4. ‘Complications from leptospirosis can be fatal.
