Manila: With several agricultural products now excluded from the United States’ 19 percent tariff, the competitiveness of Philippine exports has been bolstered, and this is seen to help increase economic stability. Quezon city: Power firms must now list with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) to comply with the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA), as stated by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) chief. On October 16, the ERC introduced simplified guidelines for power generation firms and electric distributors to meet the public offering requirement (POR), mandating that industry players sell at least 15 percent of their ownership to the public through PSE listing or by selling stakes to the public.
