Manila: Over 17,000 families have been affected so far by Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi) with one reported fatality, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday. According to Philippines News Agency, the NDRRMC’s updated report indicates that 17,124 families, equivalent to 59,918 individuals, have been impacted in Region 6 (Western Visayas), Negros Island Region, Region 7 (Central Visayas), Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), and Caraga.
