Gold futures close mostly higher

KUALA LUMPUR, The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher, despite the weaker performance of COMEX gold futures. At the close, spot month August 2024 was unchanged at US$2,474.50 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, September 2024, October 2024, November 2024, December 2024, and February 2025 rose to US$2,478.20 per troy ounce from US$2,474.50 per troy ounce at Friday’s close. KUALA LUMPUR, The crude palm oil (CPO) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives slipped on Monday, driven by bearish global sentiment and a sell-off in the equities market, said palm oil trader David Ng. PENAMPANG, A driver was caught red-handed and his lorry confiscated after his extra tank of 206 litres of subsidised diesel fuel was suspected to be used for embezzlement, said Sabah director of Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Georgie Abas. KMJG 2024 convoy to distribute 6,500 Jalur Gemilang in Penang

KEPALA BATAS, A total of 6,500 Jalur Gemilang will be distributed at various locations visited by the Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2024 convoy in Penang, which began today.
