Dungun Crash tragedy: Woman Driver’s Remand Extended By Two Days

DUNGUN, The remand on a woman driver, suspected of crashing into two motorcycles, killing three Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Dungun students and injuring another here, has been extended by two days starting tomorrow. The remand order, which is extended until Tuesday, was issued by Magistrate Nur Amira Fatihah Osman after approving a police request at the Magistrate’s Court here today to assist in investigations under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Strong Earthquake Hits Off Coast Of Costa Rica

KUALA LUMPUR, A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale occurred near the Off Coast of Costa Rica at 1.43 am today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department, in a statement, said the quake epicentre was located at latitude 10.6° north and longitude 86.1° west with a depth of 62 kilometres (km), 1,601 km southeast of Puebla, Mexico. ‘No tsunami threat to Malaysia,’ it said. King, Queen Of Malaysia Depart For Brunei On Three-day State Visit

SUBANG, The King and Queen of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, left for Brunei this morning for a three-day state visit, starting today until Oct 15.
