Dengue Cases Drop In 40th Epidemiological Week, Three Deaths Reported

The number of dengue fever cases has dropped to 1,639 during the 40th Epidemiological Week (EW40) covering the period from Sept 29 to Oct 5, compared to 1,760 cases reported in the previous week. In a statement regarding the dengue fever situation in Malaysia today, Health director-general Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan said that three deaths due to dengue fever complications were reported in EW40. Cops Rescue Two Young Boys Suspected Of Being Abused, Confined In Ampang House

Police rescued two young boys suspected of being abused and confined in a house in Taman Kosas, Ampang, near here on Monday. Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Azam Ismail said the boys, aged one and six, were believed to have been left alone by their mother, who had been away for two days on personal matters. ‘A medical examination at Ampang Hospital found old and new scars all over the victims. RM79.2 Mln Allocation For SBST Programme In Kuching – Loke

A total of 56 buses, through the Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) Programme, will be deployed throughout Kuching city, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
