TASEK GELUGOR, The Penang Islamic Religious Council (MAINPP) is ready to use the Darul Hidayah Complex in Penaga here as a faith rehabilitation centre for children and teenagers rescued from the charitable homes of GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH). Penang Allocates Close To RM13 Million To Pay Allowances Of MPPK Members

TASEK GELUGOR, The Penang State Government allocated close to RM13 million this year for payment of various allowances to the appointed Village Community Management Council (MPKK) members in the state. Penang Deputy Chief Minister I, Datuk Dr Mohamad Abdul Hamid said the amount includes the Chairman’s Fixed Allowance (RM700), RM600 for the Secretary’s Fixed Allowance, and RM300 for the Treasurer’s Fixed Allowance. SHAH ALAM, A local teenager, who went missing while swimming at Pulau Carey, Telok Panglima Garang, yesterday, was found drowned today. Kuala Langat district police chief Supt Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor said that the body of the 17-year-old victim was discovered at 3.15 am, not far from the location where he was reported missing.
