KUSKOP Allocates RM6 Mln Additional Funds To Support Indian MSMEs

The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (Kuskop), through SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp), has allocated an additional RM6 million to support small businesses owned by Indian entrepreneurs. Deputy Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the funds would be channelled through an existing programme now rebranded as the Business Accelerator Programme for Indian Small Business (I-BAP). Dec 9 Hearing Of Prosecution’s Application For Joint Trial Of Seven Charges Against Muhyiddin

The Sessions Court today fixed Dec 9 and 10 to hear the prosecution’s application for the four charges of using position and three charges of receiving money from illegal activities facing former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to be heard together. Judge Azura Alwi set the date during the mention of the case which was also attended by Deputy Public Prosecutor Datuk Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin and lawyers Amer Hamzah Arshad and Datuk Seri K. Kumaraendran, representing Muhyiddin. Earlier, Wan Shaharuddin told the court that all seven charges facing Muhyiddin need to be tried together as they are related.

PU Azman Gets 24 Years Jail, 2 Strokes Of Cane For Sexual Assault

Celebrity preacher Azman Syah Alias, better known as PU Azman, was today sentenced to 24 years jail and two strokes of the cane after the Sessions Court found him guilty on two counts of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy two years ago. Judge Noridah Adam meted out the sentence after finding that the defence failed to raise a reasonable doubt at the end of its case. She imposed a 12-year jail sentence and one stroke of the cane for each charge and ordered him to undergo the sentence consecutively from today.
