Report On National Findings 2024 – Financial Capability & Utilization Of Financial Advisory Services In Malaysia

Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) has released a Report on National Findings 2024 – Financial Capability and Utilization of Financial Advisory Services in Malaysia. The report is the third instalment of a continuous study funded by the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF), which focuses on three objectives: i. to investigate the general financial capability of Malaysians; ii. to determine Malaysians’ literacy of Capital Market; and iii. to understand Malaysians’ preferences with regard to financial advisory services. Mahkota By-election: Polling Day Preparations Running Smoothly

Preparations for polling day of the Mahkota state by-election tomorrow are proceeding smoothly, said Election Commission (EC) secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak. He said that 1,126 staff members have been mobilised to support the by-election process. ‘Everything is on track, including the verification of forms and related documents, as well as the supply of ink. The ballot papers have also been checked. ‘The same goes for preparations at 20 polling centres set to open tomorrow,’ he told Bernama after inspecting the final preparations at Dewan Tunku Ibrahim Ismail here today. Energy Counters Drag Bursa Malaysia Lower At Midday Break As Oil Price Falls

Bursa Malaysia fell deeper into the red at the midday break as a big drop in crude oil prices likely weighed on energy counters, said an analyst. Tenaga Nasional fell six sen to RM14.60 and YTL Power slid 21 sen to RM3.62, dragging the composite index down by 6.09 points. At 12.30 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was down 11.99 points, or 0.72 per cent, to 1,659.33, compared to Thursday’s close. The benchmark index opened 2.73 points easier at 1,668.59.
