PETRONAS Expands In Abu Dhabi With Third Concession

PETRONAS Abu Dhabi Sdn Bhd (PETRONAS Abu Dhabi), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, was granted a new oil and gas exploration concession in Onshore Block 2, by the Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs (SCFEA). Bursa Malaysia Opens Lower, Bucking Wall Street’s Gains

Bursa Malaysia opened lower on Friday due to a lack of fresh catalysts, bucking overnight Wall Street gains on strong US economic data, said an analyst. At 9.10 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 7.89 points to 1,663.43 from Thursday’s close of 1,671.32. The benchmark index opened 2.73 points easier at 1,668.59. Across the broader market, losers led gainers 233 to 125, with 305 counters unchanged, 1,863 untraded and 123 suspended. Turnover totalled 188.22 million units valued at RM99.28 million. 1,860 Nominations For Seri Angkasa Award 2024

The Seri Angkasa Awards (ASA) 2024 has received a total of 1,860 nominations in three categories, an increase of 17 per cent from the 1,585 nominations received in the 2022 edition. The ASA 2024 Promotion and Publicity Committee, in a statement today, said of the total, 1,287 nominations were submitted for the television category, 515 for radio and 58 for new media. It said that 60 awards will be contested across the three categories, with the top five nominees in each award category shortlisted based on evaluations by appointed professional judges.
