Police have crippled a robbery gang led by an individual known as ‘Wira Tempang’ following the arrest of seven men here today. JASNS Takes Water Samples From Sg Gemencheh To Investigate Pollution

The Negeri Sembilan Environment Department (JASNS) has taken water samples from Sungai Gemencheh, Tampin, near here today due to suspected pollution after the river water turned black. Gemencheh assemblyman Suhaimizan Bizar said the samples were sent to the Chemistry Department for analysis before further action can be taken. ‘Samples were taken last week, and today more samples were taken and the results are expected next week. In fact, two months ago the river water had changed colour, but the rains were back, however, lately the water looks black, and today we saw a lot of dead fish,’ he told Bernama.

JKDM Boosts Security At Entry Points With Installation Of 40 AI Scanners

The procurement of 40 cutting-edge baggage scanning machines, amounting to RM40.72 million, will strengthen security controls at the main entry points across the country, said Customs director-general Datuk Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin. She said that the scanners equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology can enhance detection capabilities during the scanning of passengers’ goods and baggage, thereby addressing the smuggling of taxable and prohibited items, including drugs. ‘A total of 40 scanners were installed across the country in May and June. Flood Evacuees In Kedah Stagnant At 207 Tonight

The number of Kedah flood victims placed at two temporary evacuation centres (PPS) in the Pendang district remains at 207 people from 49 families as of 8 pm today.
