Four individuals detained in connection with the ongoing investigation into GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) have had their remand extended for three days. The extension of the remand order was issued by Magistrate Rais Imran Hamid at the Bharu Court Complex today following a police application. Earlier, all the suspects, aged 15 to 45, arrived at the court complex at 9.20 am. The investigation is being conducted under Section 8(2) of the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984. The police are seeking public assistance to find a mother and her two children who were reported missing form their home in Tanjung Rambutan here since Sept 13. Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said in a statement that husband of the Indonesian woman, Ernawati Rajagukguk, 36, realised she was missing at about 8.30 pm. Also missing are their two children, daughter Farisha Jan Mohamed Faiz, nine, and son Firaz Khan, six, he added. Celebrity preacher Azman Syah Alias, better known as PU Azman, was sent to Kajang Prison today to begin his 24-year prison sentence after the court dismissed his bid to stay the execution of the punishment. Judge Noridah Adam dismissed the application after finding that there were no special circumstances that would warrant the stay.
