Pagoh Fire Victims’ identities Confirmed, Funeral Expected Tomorrow

MUAR, Police have confirmed receiving DNA test reports of two victims who were burnt to death in a house fire in Kampung Paya Redan, Pagoh last Friday. Muar District Police Chief ACP Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said that the DNA report received today from the Johor Chemistry Department confirmed that the victims are Mohamed Nor Mohamed Yassin, 82, and his wife Ara Abd Hamid, 76. ‘The DNA results have been obtained, and the victims’ family can claim both bodies for burial,’ he said when contacted today. DBKL Enforcement Deputy Director, Assistant Face Bribery Charges

SHAH ALAM, The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) deputy director of Enforcement and his assistant pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here to two charges of corruption. Muhamad Irwan Abdullah, 44, and his assistant Zahari Muhammad, 34, entered their pleas after the charges were read before Judge Datuk Anita Harun. SHAH ALAM, The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) is pioneering efforts to take local products to the international market through strategic collaborations with several large supermarket chains abroad. PUTRAJAYA, The Communications Ministry has received sponsorships amounting to RM4.09 million from 29 strategic partners for the National Day Malaysia Day (HKHM) celebrations this year.
