PNP assures continued security for Aug. 5 class opening
MANILA: The Philippine National Police (PNP) assured Sunday of its continued security coverage for the Aug. 5 class opening. Several local government units postponed school opening on July 29 following the onslaught of Super Typhoon Carina and monsoon rains. PNP spokesperson and information chief Col. Jean Fajardo said police assistance desks have been put up to respond to safety concerns and to provide immediate assistance to schools.
