KUALA LUMPUR, A recent study by Ipsos has revealed overwhelming enthusiasm among Malaysians for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Ipsos, in a statement, said the survey was based on interviews with over 500 adults aged 18 and older in Malaysia and 24,531 online adults under the age of 75 across 33 countries conducted from May 24 to June 7, 2024. MAYBANK IB SEES RINGGIT RISING TO 4.60 AGAINST US DOLLAR BY YEAR-END

KUALA LUMPUR, The ringgit is expected to end firmer at 4.60 against the US dollar by the end of this year, said Maybank Investment Bank Bhd (Maybank IB). Its group chief economist, Suhaimi Ilias said the forecast of a stronger ringgit follows the US Federal Reserve’s (Fed) interest rate cut expectation and Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) decision to maintain the overnight policy rate (OPR) at 3.00 per cent.
