BIR urged to create medium, digital taxpayer services

The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee on Monday requested the Bureau of Internal Revenue to create a Medium Taxpayer Service and a Digital Taxpayer Service in connection with ongoing efforts to tax foreign vendors of digital services. DOE advises public to report fuel hoarding amid oil price hikes

The Visayas field office of the Department of Energy (DOE) on Monday issued an advisory urging the public to report fuel hoarding in the light of the impending oil price increases brought by the crisis in Ukraine. Lawyer Russ Mark Gamallo, DOE-Visayas director, warned hoarders on the provisions of Department Circular (DC) 2017-11-0011, the Revised Retail Rules Governing the Business of Retailing Liquid Fuels and DC 2014-01-0001, which is the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Industry Rules. BOC sets inventory of goods seized in Caloocan shabu lab raid

An inventory will be conducted on other imported goods found in a shabu laboratory recently raided by authorities headed by the Bureau of Customs (BOC). BCDA makes highest contribution to AFP during Duterte admin

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) under the Duterte administration has contributed PHP25.01 billion to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the highest made by a single administration. Fuel subsidy to benefit 3.8K farmers, fisherfolk in Caraga

To cushion the impact of an oil price increase on the agriculture sector in the Caraga Region, a one-time PHP3,000 fuel subsidy will be given each to 3,802 corn farmers and fisherfolk in the area. “Of the 3,802 beneficiaries for the fuel subsidy, around 2,186 are fishermen while 1,616 are corn farmers,” Department of Agriculture – Caraga (DA-13) Director Ricardo Oñate Jr. said during a press conference Monday.
