UK records biggest daily jump of Omicron cases

Boy dies, teen hurt in Zamboanga City explosion

A 12-year-old boy was killed while a teenager was wounded in an explosion Monday in a coastal barangay, this city. Lieutenant Mary Agnes Miro, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, said initial report showed the incident happened shortly after 2 p.m. Monday in Barangay Rio Hondo. Miro said the 12-year-old boy, a certain Erickson, died on the spot, while his teenage companion, a certain Jovan, was wounded and rushed to the hospital. 160 Army recruits embark on 1st Division training

A total of 160 recruits on Monday started their 16-week basic military training at the 1st Division Training School (1DTS) at Camp Sang-an in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. DENR to start massive cleanup of Calumpit River in Bulacan

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) will start the massive cleanup of the Calumpit River in Bulacan this month. The move aims to lessen flooding in low-lying areas in Bulacan and to fast-track the rehabilitation of Manila Bay areas in Central Luzon. The more than 8-kilometer stretch Calumpit River is a tributary of the larger Pampanga River, and the town itself serves as a natural catch basin for flood waters coming from Nueva Ecija and Pampanga.
