Yulo yields World Gymnastics floor exercise title in Japan

Carlos Yulo relinquished his FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championship floor exercise title on Saturday after placing fifth in Kitakyushu, Japan. The 21-year-old champion in Stuttgart in 2019 missed out on a podium finish after a crucial error in his landing. He stepped out of bounds while trying to keep his balance after a routine. Yulo topped the qualifying phase on Wednesday and was off to a great start in his redemption tour after a failed Tokyo Olympics bid in August. His performance was good for 14.866 points, but the 0.3-point penalty for the out-of-bound infraction pulled him down to 14.566.

The national government will be ramping up vaccination strategies by involving the private sector in achieving population protection as soon as possible. Covid-19 vaccines available for all in 2022: BioNTech founders

BioNTech co-founders Ugur Sahin and Ozlem Tureci said Friday they expect there would be enough supply of Covid-19 vaccines by mid to late 2022 to immunize the global population. Speaking at a press conference here where they will later accept the prestigious Princess of Asturias Award for Technical and Scientific Research, the husband and wife said all vaccines would help achieve the goal. PH Navy sets Exercise ‘Pagsisikap 2021’ in Basilan, Sulu

The Philippine Navy, through Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM), will conduct the five-day Exercise “Pagsisikap 2021” in littoral areas and seawaters off Basilan and Sulu provinces. Lt.
