Comelec checks COCs for candidates’ names

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) here is reviewing the filed certificates of candidacy (COCs), particularly the contenders’ names that will appear on the ballot if they follow the guideline of not exceeding 30 characters. Soldiers seize guns from NoCot village exec near Comelec office

The Army’s 6th Infantry Division (6ID) has lauded military units for the recovery of high-powered guns near the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in this town on Friday. This was after Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, the 6ID commander, directed the 90th Infantry Battalion (90IB) and all other military units in the province to remain on alert for possible retaliatory attacks.
