Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO), otherwise known as “tanod” (watchmen), in Quezon City are undergoing skills training to better do their jobs, especially amid the continuing threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). Oil companies will implement a big-time price increase on Tuesday. In separate advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines, Seaoil, and Shell will raise gasoline prices by PHP1.45 per liter and diesel products by PHP2.05 per liter. BOC seizes large boat ‘illegally discharged’ from cargo ship

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Monday reported the seizure of a vessel that was discharged from a carrying vessel that arrived at the Port of Manila (POM) from the Port of Iloilo. In a statement, the bureau said an operation by Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) personnel resulted in the apprehension of MV Long Xiang 8 on September 28. The vessel was discharged from the carrying vessel M/V AAL KOBE.
