9.4K more survive Covid-19; recoveries now 1.27M: DOH | Philippine News Agency

A total of 9,407 have recuperated from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), pushing the number of recoveries to 1,270,243 as of June 19, the Department of Health (DOH) reported. In its latest case bulletin, the agency also logged 6,959 new infections, jacking up the active cases to 59,439 or 4.4 percent of the confirmed cases. Meanwhile, 153 died of the disease, raising the death toll to 23,538. BARMM solons seek add’l P50-M fund to fight Covid-19

Delta variant transmission preventable with strict protocols

A health official on Saturday said the Delta variant, which was first recognized in India, is 40 to 60 percent more transmissible than the Alpha variant that was detected in the United Kingdom (UK). Recovery tally among OFs at 12,096; active cases 7,108

The recovery count among Filipinos with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) overseas is at 12,096, with 19 new survivors recorded over the past week, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported Saturday. The active cases, on the other hand, are pegged at 7,108 while the death toll has reached 1,220.
