2,000 Police Personnel and Families Benefit from ‘Lab for All’ at Camp Crame

Manila: More than 2,000 police personnel and their families received free health and essential government services through the "Lab for All" program led by First Lady Louise 'Liza' Araneta-Marcos at Camp Crame on Tuesday.

According to Philippines News Agency, the program-also known as Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot Para sa Lahat (Lab Tests, Consultation and Medicine for All)-provided beneficiaries with immediate access to services often limited by cost, time, or availability.

Around 20 public and private partners delivered services including medical consultations, dental care, eye checkups, electrocardiogram, urinalysis, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) testing, chest X-rays, ultrasound, and free medicines. Legal assistance, skills and business mentorship, free seedlings, and access to frontline government services were also provided.

"Today is especially meaningful because this project is not only for the communities we protect, but also for you, the men and women who stand at the frontlines to protect our nation. Today, in our simple way, we are here to take care of you," the First Lady said in her message.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. thanked the organizers, emphasizing the program's impact on police personnel and their families. "Sa programang ito, malinaw na ang serbisyong pangkalusugan ay dapat abot ng lahat. May dignidad, may malasakit, at walang naiiwan (In this program, it is clear that health services must be accessible to everyone. With dignity, with care, and with no one left behind)," he said.

Nartatez, along with Interior Secretary Juanito Victor "Jonvic" Remulla, joined Mrs. Marcos in the initiative, as well as officials from key agencies including the Department of Health, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Commission on Higher Education, and Public Attorney's Office, highlighting a whole-of-government approach.
