San carlos city: Twenty families affected by a recent fire in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental received emergency housing assistance from the National Housing Authority (NHA) to help them recover and rebuild.

According to Philippines News Agency, NHA General Manager Joeben Tai directed NHA Region 6-Negros Occidental District Office to release a total of PHP600,000 in aid. The NHA, in a news release on Friday, said the program aims to help disaster-hit households restart their lives by providing immediate support for temporary shelter needs and initial rebuilding efforts.

Each family received PHP30,000 in financial support. The assistance was provided under the Emergency Housing Assistance Program, which extends financial aid to families affected by fire incidents, earthquakes, typhoons, floods, and other calamities.

In line with the celebration of Holiday Hazards Prevention Month, the NHA urged the public to stay cautious and vigilant to avoid any danger or harm amid the Christmas and New Year celebration.
