Manila: Police arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP958,800, in separate operations in Nueva Ecija and Pampanga on Thursday.
According to Philippines News Agency, in Nueva Ecija, a buy-bust operation in Talavera at 12:10 a.m. led to the arrest of a suspect known by the alias Yeng, aged 44. Authorities confiscated from him 13 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 80 grams with an estimated street value of PHP544,000.
In a separate operation in Pampanga, Porac police arrested another high-value target, alias Joey, 32, along with two accomplices, identified as Doms, 50, and Glenn, 48. This buy-bust occurred in Barangay Manibaug Pasig at 5:20 a.m. Police seized from Joey about 61 grams of suspected shabu, valued at PHP414,800, and marked money.
Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Pe±ones Jr., director of the Central Luzon regional police, commended the operating units for their efforts. “These accomplishments reflect our firm commitment to intensify anti-drug operations and maintain a drug-free Central Luzon,” Pe±ones stated.
Charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
