Santa barbara: Police from the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) arrested two suspects during a sting operation in Santa Barbara town on Monday afternoon and confiscated PHP7.51 million worth of shabu. A report by the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) on Tuesday said alias 'Daboy' or 'Jaboy,' 39, a high-value individual, and alias 'Jeth,' 35, a street-level individual, were arrested in a subdivision in Barangay Balabag.
According to Philippines News Agency, seized from the suspects were approximately 1,105 grams of shabu in 18 sachets of various sizes. The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
'This significant seizure sends a clear and strong message that PRO-6 remains relentless in its fight against illegal drugs. Our success is driven by disciplined police work, strong intelligence coordination, and the invaluable support of the community,' PRO-6 director Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan said in a statement.
